Announcements

Mountain is not opened to public until 8:30 am. Racers and all other participants need to stay on the patio and keep off the snow in the base area; no people, no equipment on the snow until the racers are invited to head up for the lift load at 8:00 am. Most likely there will still be groomers in the base area. Racers and coaches must confine their skiing to Upper Angel Drop/Homerun until 8:30 am. Exit the lift on the top to your right and follow Angel Drop to Homerun.

Racers who will not follow these rules may lose a privilege to participate in the race.

Run 2 starts approximately 90 minutes after the completion of run 1 - maximum 45 minute inspection window for the second course. This will likely be another busy day at the Whitetail Resort and the extended time is needed as racers have no privileges in the lift lines and they will need to anticipate the lines and plan accordingly.

Discounted lift tickets will be sold at the designated ticket window for racers and their families from 7:15 am. List of registered racers will be at that window. You do not need to have your bib in hand to purchase discounted tickets.

Walk passes are required for all non-skiing spectators. Walk pass (looks like a lift ticket) is free but you will need to sign a release. Walk passes can be obtained at the race registration with a signed release form which is attached to this announcement and will be also available at the registration.

The racer, volunteer and walk release forms will be distributed before the race and only limited number of forms will be available at the registration. If possible, please fill out your form in advance to make the registration more efficient. All uphill walking traffic – please remain on the right hand side of the trail as you ascend.

Official posting board (results, DQs etc.) will be located at the timing building (start).

Times on the hand written posting board and on live timing are "unofficial".

Absolutely no free skiing on the race hill – applies to everyone all day! Please respect the instructions of the race organizers and coaches during the course inspection to ensure good conditions for all racers throughout the race.

Confine skiing at race speeds to the race course - please remember this is a public ski area filled with skiers and snowboarders. "Buzzing skiers," fast or reckless skiing outside the race course will result in loss of skiing privileges at Whitetail.

Parking - please follow the direction of the parking attendants on race day.

Awards Ceremony will be approximately one hour after the completion of the second run.

Please join us in thanking our sponsors, supporters, race volunteers and the Whitetail Resort
